Our Vision: For all institutions of higher education across North Dakota and the Northern Plains to be inclusive of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD); providing programs that focus on academic, independent living, socialization, self-determination, and integrated work experiences culminating in competitive integrated employment for persons with ID and DD.
The Secondary Transition Summit is designed for young adults, families, and professionals to learn about essential tools, strategies, and resources to help individuals with disabilities successfully transition into adulthood through a combination of expert-led workshops, interactive breakout sessions, and panel discussions. This event will help young adults, professionals, and families navigate secondary transitioning by envisioning, equipping, and empowering young adults to succeed.
DATE / TIME: Friday, June 13, 2025 from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm and Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
LOCATION: Student Conference Center, Minot State University, Minot, ND
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Young adults with disabilities (ages 14-26), families and caregivers, educators, secondary transition specialists, and service providers.
