Great Plains Autism Spectrum Disorders Treatment Program
Overview
The Great Plains Autism Spectrum Disorder Treatment Program provides training, research, diagnostic and treatment services to North Dakota children and youth suspected or diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Upcoming research through evaluation studies, model demonstration projects, and literature reviews will provide families, teachers, therapists, and medical professionals information about best practices.
In May of 2008 NDCPD asked for applications to participate in a pilot study. NDCPD has selected five families for their pilot study. Selected families are representative of rural communities across ND who have children diagnosed with or suspected to have an autism spectrum disorder. NDCPD staff will be learning from these and other families over the course of this next school year to provide formal recommendations to funding agencies and state policymakers. If you have specific questions about the project, please contact Wendy Thomas at 1-800-233-1737 or wendy.thomas@minotstateu.edu
Please watch the site for summaries and reports as they become
available.
