Jada McDonald

Ms. Jada had earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Old Dominion University. She is currently pursuing her a Master’s Degree in Education Specialist in School Psychology. Ms. Jada McDonald is the project director of the Healthy Life project responsible for the design of the Healthy Life curriculum, as well as the training of teachers and DSPs. Ms. McDonald researches quality resources, aiding in the discovery of appropriate and worthwhile opportunities including employment, housing, education, and medical resources. Ms. McDonald's career has been immersed in the support of people with disabilities, advocating for their lives. Currently serving as the Self- Determination Trainer, which includes but is not limited to instruction on self-reliance, goal setting, and attainment skills. Ms. McDonald has devoted several years fostering relationships with youth, through positive role modeling, resulting in the promotion and development of life-skills and prosperity in decision-making. As a longtime activist for people with DD, in past careers, she has developed and managed various strategies advancing independence and individuality in persons with disabilities. Ms. McDonald served as the liaison for a seasonal Community Supported Agricultural (CSA) subscription, providing a variety of fresh and sustainably sourced produce to local customers.
